juC, juC, juC

It's been a while a while since I've posted about my husband.  You know...the one that doesn't love me as much as your husband loves you.  He's due for another post dedicated to just him.

Back when juC and I were young and in love...I mean, younger and not nearly as in looooove as we are now, and newly married, I did a "spotlight" of him on my blog.  That blog went bye bye, BUT, this was back in the day when I used to actually write the questions and answers on a paper then transfer it to my blog.  So the other day I was looking through my old game score keeping notebook/
recipe notebook and found the spotlight questions and his answers.  I couldn't help but have a good laugh as I read through it.  Then I had the thought that it would be fun to ask the same questions, nearly 7 years later.  You know, to see how much he's grown and matured.

I also did another spotlight of him back in 2009.  You can read that insightful blog post here.

So for your reading pleasure, here are his answers to the questions.  White answers from 2007, and green answers from 2014.  And ( ) are my two cents.  Because how can I NOT out in my two cents?!  I did not read him his previous answers until after I asked them again.

1.  What is your favorite time of day?
Breakfast time, lunch time, dinner time
Ooooo....Evening.  Did I say morning before?

2.  Where in the world would you love to visit?

6.  What is your most memorable date?

7.  If you had to live in a tree, what kind would it be?
An oak tree.
A umm...Redwood.

Question.

The living room is supposed to be the room that stays clean for when guests stop by, right?

How do you know?

How does a wife know that her husband really loves her?

Some women need to get jewelry from their husbands to know. Some women need to be wined and dined to know. Some might need a car or two to know that their husband does, indeed, love them.

While some women only need a smile, a kiss, and a tender whisper of loving words in their ear to know that their husband loves them.

Me? What do I need to know that my husband loves me?

I need to come home on a Saturday afternoon, after spending the morning shopping with little luC to find some boxes, with a little note....

The contents of the box being a dozen cupcakes (minus one that little jC ate) from Georgetown Cupcakes (aka DC Cupcakes from the TLC show)
And then I know, with out a shadow of a doubt, that my husband loves me with every fiber of his being!

my husband thinks i'm stupid

He's good lookin' ain't he? But with those good looks i'm not sure why he married stupid ol' me.

Yesterday I had an activity at church. I had a little Christmas party for the 8 and 9 year old girls and their mothers. I decided I needed to have some Christmas music for the Christmas party.

I grabbed the portable CD player that juC brought into our marriage and tried a CD and it didn't work. I then grabbed the CD player that I brought into the marriage. Didn't work. Luckily I was able to borrow one from a neighbor.

Since juC's CD player didn't work, it made a perfect toy for little JT. Last night, after juC got home and saw that JT was using the CD player as a toy he asked if it was ok for him to be playing with it. I informed my dear sweet husband that the CD player didn't work anymore. Do you know what he said??

"Did you plug it in?"

a letter

dear people at my gym who bring a sweat towel with them,

tell me how this makes sense:
you bring a towel with you, and you work out really hard and you are nasty sweaty, and you wipe your sweat off with the towel, THEN you wipe the machine off with that same towel. really? do you think that works? all you are doing is spreading your sweat around even more.
how bout using that disinfectant they provide for us?

sincerely,
the girl with the grossed out look on her face at the gym

to give or not to give

i love to give. really, i do. i love when someone i know has a birthday because it gives me an excuse to give them something. not because i expect something from them in return later on, but because it truly makes me feel good. i love Christmas not because of getting gifts but because i enjoy getting things for people and hoping that it makes them happy to receive it. i even like to celebrate half birthdays because it gives me an extra excuse for giving. and a joy of blogging is having giveaways to allow me to give people something just for fun.

so last night, as i sat on the couch, enjoying my new hobby of crocheting (see below picture of my first/current throw/blanket project) i thought "i should have a giveaway and let someone win a crocheted something from me."

i thought about how fun it would be to let the person pick their own colors and what they wanted. a baby blanket. a throw. a somewhat small yet very useful blanket. a scarf.

and then i thought what if no one enters? what if everyone thinks my crocheting is lame? and then i thought maybe it was a completely crazy idea.

and then i thought maybe i should just ask the people what they think.

so....what do you think?

FAQ

there are some things i've been wondering lately. i've made a list so maybe you can help me find the answers.

1. now that the kids in high school musical have graduated, will there be a college musical?

2. i love jeopardy, but why does it have to be the way it is? i mean, i understand that its a question and answer game show, but if someone says to me "what is poppa johns?" i'm not going to say "stop at the arches on US highway 41 for some chicken selects here" as an answer. why can't the contestants just say "poppa johns"? why must they put it in question format?

3. what is it about getting married that makes your once attentive boyfriend a husband who doesn't listen to you?

4. why do the doctors on the talk show the doctors wear their scrubs and doctors coats? they aren't in their doctors office or the hospital. do they think this makes them more legitimate and believable? it's not going to make me trust them more just because they are wearing doctor gear.

5. why don't managers at stores (grocery stores, shoe stores, department stores) have a rule that employees can't smoke by the entrances of the store? if they want to smoke, fine. but why do i have to walk through their cloud of death to shop?
